Space Mouse 3.5 Kurt Gugisberg - Rocketry Organization of California |
Altitude: 50K to 60K Motors: Aerotech L1120 to K250 to K250 Project Goal: The goal is to get three stages to fire in the right sequence and to go straight up. Secondary goal is to get the Tripoli M staged altitude record. Project Note: This is, more or less, the fourth try and as they say, the fourth time is a charm! It has to work! |

Excel Plus Plus David Randall - Washington Aerospace Club |
Altitude: 15K Motors: M1297 & K185 Project Goal: This is my first 2 stage high power rocket. Goal is successful launch and recovery of a 2 stage, plus testing and validation of the abilities of the Garmin Astro GPS system as applied to rocketry for GPS information download and rocket retrieval. Project Note: Eventually will be entered in the "Mt Rainier" contest. The goal of that contest is to determine who of the MSMD team can fly closest to 14,410' with a 2 stage rocket

||
Airborne Chris Craft David Randall - Washington Aerospace Club |
Motors: TBD on the Playa Project Goal: This will be the third flight of my Level 3 project. It was designed with a 5 motor cluster, central 75mm with four 54mm's. I'll probably burn some Smokey Sam reloads in it. Nothing like a big column of black with a big ole fat rocket perched on top. Project Note: May be able to get some remote video installed in this - there's so much room in a 10" diameter rocket e-bay!

Columbia next generation Larry Karlberg - AeroPac |
Altitude: 7500' Motors: J500G 2 sec coast staging to a I211 Project notes: flown in June on a I284, flown in August on a J350, just want to try out the J500G motor@

Thor X Jeremy Clark |
Motor: Hypertek L 575 Project Goal: I Had intended to fly this rocket at last year's XPRS, but I had to scrub the mission because of weather. If everything goes as planed, this will be my highest flight to date, plus this motor has about a 12 second burn time, so it should be pretty cool.
|
||
Solar Storm Jeremy Clark |
Altitude: 5000 feet Motor: contrail L 2525 Project Goal: This rocket was first launched at the Dairy Aire launch in '06. Originally finished in monokote, Solar storm has been refinished in Black and purple automotive finish. Solar Storm is over 13 feet tall and weighs over fifty pounds loaded. The first flight reached over 3500 feet, this time I am hoping to get closer to the Rocksim prediction of 5k.
